We believe in transparency as a cornerstone of our commitment to advancing evidence-based nutrition science and improving public health. Therefore, we are dedicated to fostering an open and honest environment that promotes excellence and trust in nutrition science.
Governance Structure: We believe in openness and proactively sharing information. Our board of trustees and supporting committees are biased towards scientific expertise. Their membership, protocols and key decision-making processes are designed to avoid real or perceived influence from potential conflicts of interest - and will be openly communicated.
Financial Transparency: We are committed to providing disclosure of our income sources, expenditures, and budget allocations. Our financial records are audited annually to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: It is not possible to change the food environment for the better without engaging with the entire food chain, government and civil society. Our communications will reflect the diverse perspectives and inputs we receive, and we will be transparent about how stakeholder feedback shapes our activities and our evidence-based statements.
Partnerships and Collaborations: We value partnerships with anyone working in nutrition science and related fields who can help us deliver our charitable aims. Any collaborations will be disclosed, and we will clearly communicate the nature and scope of these partnerships to maintain transparency about potential influences on our work.
Research Methodology: In our pursuit of advancing nutrition science, we adhere to rigorous research methods and peer review. We will be transparent about our research processes, ethics, methods, decision making and findings.
Conflicts of Interest: Any potential conflicts of interest among our staff, board and committee member, or volunteers will be disclosed promptly. We are committed to managing conflicts ethically and ensuring that our activities prioritise the public interest.
Evaluation: We will regularly assess and report on the impact of our programmes and initiatives. This includes sharing both successes and challenges faced in achieving our mission, as well as adjustments made based on these assessments.
Leadership: We value all voices advocating for evidence-based nutrition science and healthier sustainable diets. We will use our convening power to help build consensus, advocate for science, and raise standards of transparency across the diverse voices and perspectives in this space. By upholding these principles of transparency, we aim to build trust among our stakeholders, empower informed decision-making, and contribute to the collective effort in advancing nutrition science for the betterment of public health.
We believe in transparency as a cornerstone of our commitment to advancing evidence-based nutrition science and improving public health.
